Free Reign Records Ltd. was conceived in 2023 by Bristol-based rapper SAINT, who saw a gap in the local music scene for independent labels championing hip hop, rap, and R&B.

Growing up, SAINT was inspired by the way albums told a cohesive story, listening to them from start to finish and experiencing them as a true reflection of the artist’s vision. This deep connection with music, combined with the lack of support for independent artists in Bristol, led to the creation of Free Rein Records.

SAINT founded the label with a clear mission: to strike a balance between commercial success and artistic freedom.
